Our commitments

Quinze Mai is committed to sustainable development.

QUINZE MAI is committed to organising all its events in a more responsible way, engaging its clients, suppliers, service providers and partners around these challenges, and raising awareness among all stakeholders.

Our practical actions to reduce the environmental impact of events

We incorporate sustainable development principles into the organisation of our events, such as working with local caterers and short supply chains, and using eco-designed, reusable exhibition stands. Below are some examples of the practical measures implemented at our events to reduce their environmental impact. This list is not exhaustive:

  • Providing separate waste collection throughout the exhibition area
  • Recovering and repurposing waste through partners specialising in reuse
  • Recycling specific types of waste, such as carpets and cigarette butts, through specialist partners
  • Reducing the use of carpeting in aisles
  • Reducing or eliminating printed materials, such as catalogues and pocket maps, in favour of digital formats
  • Reducing the number of magazines and publications available on site in favour of a digital newsstand
  • Reducing printed signage in favour of digital screen signage
  • Using badge holders made from recycled plastic
  • Assigning specific services to supported employment organisations for people with disabilities, such as attaching badge holders to lanyards and inserting documents
  • Ensuring that spaces are accessible to people with reduced mobility
  • Encouraging the use of public transport across our various communication channels, including websites, social media, newsletters and badges

Recommendations for exhibitors

Design and layout:

  • Choose certified exhibition stand contractors
  • Opt for an eco-designed stand using sustainable and reusable materials, as well as rented equipment.
  • Consider storing the stand so that it can be reused at other events.
  • Use LED bulbs for stand lighting.

Communication:

  • Do not print flyers or leaflets.
  • Replace printed materials with digital alternatives.
  • Replace promotional gifts with services.
  • Limit the number of promotional gifts distributed and choose useful items made from recycled materials or materials that can be recycled.
  • Reuse existing posters or roll-up banners, or choose materials made from recycled or recyclable materials.

Audiovisual equipment:

  • Opt for rented sound and lighting equipment.
  • Use dark-coloured visuals and HD-format videos with a maximum resolution of 1080×1920 pixels.

Transport and accommodation:

  • Prioritise travelling by train, car-sharing and public transport.
  • Choose accommodation as close as possible to the event venue to minimise travel.

On site:

  • Switch off the stand lights at the end of the day.
  • Sort waste according to the recycling facilities available on site.
